 Whelen Modified Tour for rFactor
hi all, you may recall some months ago i announced the wip of the Whelen Modified Tour mod for rfactor. well the mod has been progressing extremely well, making sure to try to incorporate all the proper 'Real World' league requirements into the mod.
Unfortunately, after posting the wip on the rFactorcentral website, i got 1 comment, from a chap known as NAVALHAWKEYE, seems this guy has a mod in progress based on the same league as the mod i've been working on. his mod is far more progressed than mine and he has a talented team to work with, which i don't.
So, as a consequence i have stopped all work on my mod and asked the rfactorcentral admin to remove my wip post from their site, and i will shelve the mod and find another project.
cheers all

They've progressed more, but I still feel that their models are extremely inaccurate. And apparently one of them had contacted us prior to starting it, and since we didn't get back to them in any kind of time frame, we were just regarded as all but a**holes to them, as they pretty much called us out on their comment forum.
Anyway, sad to see your project was shelved. I was really looking forward to seeing it!

Sad to see your version of the mod end, and I agree with what Dan said. Angus you said you're gonna look for another project, well heres an idea for ya. A mod that uses the Holden Ute and Ford Falcon Ute. It'd be kind of like the V8 Supercars but with the Utes instead. Ahh turns out (after a Google search) that there is a series like that http://www.v8utes.com.au/I'd help with it but I can barely paint cars l0l.

i have been keeping an eye on that mod for quite some time. although, i have never seen your mod posted up. you should have kept your mod and finished it. i mean look at all the late model mods as well and the sprint car mods they have out. there would've been nothing wrong with having two mods for the asphalt modifieds.

Re: Whelen Modified Tour for rFactor
there is a modified mod out there for rfactor right now. if its ok ill post the link as to where you can get it later. the sim NAVALHAWKEYE was doing i think was handed over. i believe they are working on the physics at this point but im not too sure. i also just saw that the VHR guys for rfactor have a server up for VHR modifieds. so there is going to be plenty of mods out there for these things. all we really need is some good old fashioned short tracks to run on.
