Tyler Armstrong steals the provisional pole for the Jennerstown 350! - by Charli Brown
Tyler
Armstrong stole the provisional pole away from Richard Davidowitz by
setting the fastest time of the week Thursday night in Jennerstown 350
qualifying.
Jennerstown, PA - Fayetteville, Georgia's Tyler Armstong set the fastest time of the week with
an 18.435 second lap at 101.936 MPH Thursday night to steal away
the provisional pole for the Jennerstown 350.
Many of the
SIModified.com Online Racing League stars were in the pit area tonight
with Chuck Darling, PJ Stergios and Charli Brown all taking a shot
at the pole, with Brown coming closest by setting the fastest time in
the first session with an 18.485 second lap which moved him into third
fastest overall for the week, with two days left to go.
Armstrong became the third driver
to break into the 18.40's in the second session and with both Brown and
Armstrong having one more qualifying run to make, the pole is still up for grabs
as several other drivers have yet to post a qualifying time.
Thirty
drivers have now posted a time with two days left to go and the field
is starting to take shape for both the 75 lap "Last Chance" race on
Saturday afternoon and the Jennerstown 350, Saturday night.
Night
number five of qualifying will begin at 8 PM Friday night for the rest
of the drivers who have not used their two qualifying attempts.
There
will be two more qualifying sessions on Friday night and five sessions
on Saturday afternoon before the field is set for the 75 lap "last
chance" race that will take the green flag at 3 PM.
