Tyler Armstrong steals the provisional pole for the Jennerstown 350! - by Charli Brown

Tyler Armstrong stole the provisional pole away from Richard Davidowitz by setting the fastest time of the week Thursday night in Jennerstown 350 qualifying.

Jennerstown, PAFayetteville, Georgia's Tyler Armstong set the fastest time of the week with an 18.435 second lap at 101.936 MPH Thursday night to steal away the provisional pole for the Jennerstown 350.

Many of the SIModified.com Online Racing League stars were in the pit area tonight with Chuck Darling, PJ Stergios and Charli Brown all taking a shot at the pole, with Brown coming closest by setting the fastest time in the first session with an 18.485 second lap which moved him into third fastest overall for the week, with two days left to go.

Armstrong became the third driver to break into the 18.40's in the second session and with both Brown and Armstrong having one more qualifying run to make, the pole is still up for grabs as several other drivers have yet to post a qualifying time.

Thirty drivers have now posted a time with two days left to go and the field is starting to take shape for both the 75 lap "Last Chance" race on Saturday afternoon and the Jennerstown 350, Saturday night.

Night number five of qualifying will begin at 8 PM Friday night for the rest of the drivers who have not used their two qualifying attempts.

There will be two more qualifying sessions on Friday night and five sessions on Saturday afternoon before the field is set for the 75 lap "last chance" race that will take the green flag at 3 PM.

Keep up to date with all the last minute qualifying runs and results from the 75 lap "Last Chance" race here and on the forums as we bring you up-to-the-minute news from Jennerstown.
