Scott Bryant sets fast time on Friday, sends Guiher and Coral to the "Last Chance" race on Saturday! - by Charli Brown
Scott Bryant sets the sixth fastest time of the week Friday night and locks himself into the Jennerstown 350.
Jennerstown, PA - Rochester,
New Hampshire's Scott Bryant set the fastest time on Friday night with
a lap time of 18.556 seconds at 101.271 MPH and moves himself to sixth
fastest of the week, locking himself into the Jennerstown 350.
Brad Cornthwaite timed in second fastest on Friday night and after being the
first driver on the outside looking in from the twenty-first position
earlier in the week, currently sits fifteenth with one day left to go.
But
the biggest jump of the week has to go to Jerry Solomito. Jerry (who
is tenth place driver Timmy Solomito's uncle) timed in third quick
tonight with a lap time of 18.667 seconds and moves his way forward to
seventeenth from the thirtieth position.
Solomito's big jump was
just one of the big stories from Friday night's
qualifying sessions as both Joshua Guiher and Danny Coral are now
outside the top twenty. Both drivers have already made their
two qualifying runs and look to be headed to the 75 lap "Last
Chance" race on Saturday afternoon.
Pre race favorite Joshua
Guiher (who also built Jennerstown Speedway for sim racing) was
questioned as to why he would use both attempts so early in the week
after Monday night's qualifying sessions. "What does it matter what day of
the week I use my attempts? Slow as hell is slow as hell no matter what
day of the week it is."
The
pole for the Jennerstown 350 is still up for grabs as current
provisonal pole sitter Tyler Armstrong, third place driver Charli Brown
and sixth place driver Scott Bryant all have one more qualifying
attempt at their disposal.
Saturday's final qualifying sessions
start at 12 noon with four more to follow before the field is set
at 3 PM for both the 75 lap "Last Chance" race and the Jennerstown 350,
Saturday night.
Qualifying results and the full
story from the "Last Chance" race will be posted here and on the forums
before the green flag waves for the inaugural Jennerstown 350, Saturday
night.
