SIModified.com New Smyrna Speedweek starts tonight!
Samsula, FL - Preseason
for the SIModified.com Online Racing Leagues begins tonight with the
first of six consecutive nights at the New Smyrna Speedway for the
inaugural SIModified.com New Smyrna Speedweek.
Over
40 different drivers have pre-entered the event including
recent Jennerstown 350 winner Justin Trombley, SIModified.com
Whelen Modified Online Tour champion Richie Coy, CAM2 Race of Champions
winner and 2007 SIModified.com Rookie of the Year Zach Truesdail, 2007
True Value/Race of Champions Modified Series champion Charli Brown as
well as 2007 Sunoco SK Modified Series prsented by NPGPro.com overall
champion, Cal Chandonnet.
Also filing entries and making his
SIModified.com debut is 2007 Chemung Speedrome SST Modified champion
Tony Hanbury as well as Riverhead Raceway and Whelen Modified Tour
driver Gregg Shivers.
Qualifying will be just one of the
challenges as SIModified.com officials are already planning to go to a
"split qualifying" format to ensure everyone has an equal chance to
qualify in on time for this special series of events this week.
Practice will begin promptly at 9 PM EST with the first round of qualifying scheduled to take place shortly thereafter.
