SIModified.com Online Racing League Pre-season officially kicks off Tuesday night!
2007
SIModified.com Rookie of the Year Zach Truesdail earned his way up through the ladder system here
at SIModified.com.
Charlotte, NC - The
second year of the SIModified.com Online Racing Leagues kicks off Tuesday
night at the Jennerstown Speedway with the three league divisions hosting two
events over the next two weeks for the new DRI Evaluation Series.
Drivers
must race in at least four of the six DRI Evaluation Series events over
the next two weeks. After those events have been run, SIModified.com
Online Racing League officials will begin to fill their rosters for the
remaining divisions before the league begins it's 2008 racing season.
"While
the DRI Evaluation system is new to online racing, we feel
it's in the best interest of the league and the competitors to take
these first two weeks to give every driver interested in racing with us
a fair chance to earn their way into the division which they submitted
an application for" commented new league president, Richie Coy.
"With
most of our drivers returning for a second year of racing with us, the
Whelen Modified mod has brought several new folks to online racing who
may not be ready for the intense competition in the higher divisions"
he added. "These DRI Evaluation races give everyone a chance to make
sure they're qualified and prepared for the divisions they wish to race
in this year."
Over ninety different drivers have registered to
race in the three different divisions here at SIModified.com this
year. Eight of the eleven series champions have filed entries to
return with us in 2008.
The second year of racing for the
SIModified.com Online Racing Leagues kicks off March 18th with the
Sunoco SK/SST Modified Series presented by NPGPro.com at the Stafford
Motor Speedway.
