Tony Hanbury wins the Little Trees Pine Fresh 100 at Lonesome Pine! - By Charli Brown

Tony Hanbury dodged a wreck between the two race leaders to win the rain shortened Little Trees Pine Fresh 100 Thursday night at the Lonesome Pine Raceway.

Coeburn, VA - Owego, New York's Tony Hanbury drove to his first SIModified.com Online Racing Leagues win Thursday night in the Little Trees Pine Fresh 100 at the Lonesome Pine Raceway.

Richard Davidowitz sped his way to a new track record and his fourth Dart Heads Pole Award of the year with a lap time of 15.832 seconds at 85.270 mph.

Davidowitz led the field to turn one with Chris Rogers to his outside, while third place starter Charli Brown would sneak past Rogers into second spot before the first caution came for Tony Hanbury spinning in turn three after contact with Jeff Rogers just after the first lap was completed.

Davidowitz led to the first restart of the evening on lap 7 and held the lead for the next 10 laps until the race's second caution flew on lap 18 for Chris Rogers spinning out of third position in turn four and coming to rest on the apron while the rest of the field missed him.

Davidowitz continued to lead to the race's quarter distance when the fourth place car of Dennis Frates got loose and spun hard into the outside wall, collecting Rick Dutra to bring out the race's third caution of the night on lap 25.

Under this caution period, Davidowitz headed to pit road with his Hooters/Harley Davidson sponsored machine giving up the lead to Charli Brown while the rest of field stayed on the race track.

Brown led the field to the race's third restart on lap 32 with Zach Truesdail, Tony Hanbury, Jeff Rogers and Chris Rogers rounding out the top five.

Brown held the lead for the next 5 laps until contact with the second place car of Zach Truesdail spun Brown's NOS Energy Drink machine into the turn four wall on lap 37 to bring out the race's fourth caution.

Zach Truesdail led his first laps of the race as he brought the field to the restart on lap 41 while Richard Davidowitz had moved his way through the field and back to second over Tony Hanbury, Chris Rogers and Jeff Rogers.

Davidowitz would pressure Truesdail for the lead over the next 5 laps and as the two raced to turn three, Davidowitz made contact with the back bumper sending Truesdail into the outside wall to bring out the race's fifth caution on lap 46.

This would hand the lead to Chris Rogers who was busy holding off the charge of Charli Brown after he had worked his way back through the field after his contact with Truesdail on lap 37.

Chris Rogers led the field to the restart just past the KING Design Halfway Award on lap 52 over Brown, Tony Hanbury, Jeff Rogers and Keith Joseph.

Brown began to apply heavy pressure to the rear of Rogers' machine for the lead over the next few laps as raindrops began to fall over the speedway.

Keith Joseph made his way around Jeff Rogers for fourth using the outside lane and began to chase down Tony Hanbury for the third spot when the two leaders had contact heading into turn one on lap 54, sending Chris Rogers into the turn one fence.

After SIModified officials reviewed the incident, Brown was sent to the tail end of the longest line, handing the lead to Tony Hanbury.

But the race was called official on lap 60 as the rains came over the speedway with Tony Hanbury winning over Keith Joseph, Jeff Rogers, Rick Dutra and Richard Davidowitz. Sixth through tenth were Zach Truesdail, Dennis Frates, Rich Warden, Chris Rogers and Charli Brown.

This week, the True Value/Dart Machinery Modified Series heads to the Richmond Interntational Raceway for the SIModified.com 100.

We'll crown our second Spring Season champion of the week at Richmond.

Richie Coy survives another Green, White, Checkered finish to win the Whelen 105 at Caraway! - By Charli Brown

Richie Coy held off a hard charging Charli Brown to win the Whelen 105 Wednesday night at the Caraway Speedway.

Sophia, NCDefending Whelen Modified Online Tour champion Richie Coy continues to dominate the Whelen Modified Online Tour as he won his fourth straight race Wednesday night in the Whelen 105 at the Caraway Speedway.

Coy took home his fifth Coors Light Pole Award with a lap time of 17.928 seconds at 91.365 mph and led the field to the green flag.

Outside pole sitter Charli Brown jumped the initial start and led the first lap before being black flagged by SIModified officials. Third place started Justin Trombley snuck under Coy as they raced off turn two and would inherit the lead as Brown headed to pit road to answer the black flag.

Chris Rogers would spin his Rooms Unlimited machine off turn four to being out the caution on lap 28 and the leaders headed for pit road for the first round of pit stops.

Richie Coy and his Stewart's Root Beer team would win the race off pit road and fall in line behind Jeff Rogers, who had stayed out to get the 5 bonus points for leading a lap and led the field to the restart on lap 34.

Coy's new tires quickly vaulted him past Rogers' Rooms Unlimted machine as he led the next 18 laps to the Mends Image Halfway Award on lap 52 with Charli Brown and Justin Trombley following closely behind.

The race's third caution came on lap 71 for Jeff Rogers spinning and coming to rest against the turn four concrete wall. Under this caution, the leaders hit pit road for another round of pit stops with Coy's team holding the lead by winning the race off pit road.

The green flag waved again on lap 77 with Richie Coy leading over Charli Brown and Justin Trombley. Brown made a move to the high side as the leaders raced to turn one, but Coy held him off as they raced off turn two and down the backstretch.

Justin Trombley would work his way under Charli Brown for the second spot on lap 93 as Brown hit the concrete curbing inside turns three and four and set off after the race leader, Richie Coy.

Coy's straightaway lead would be erased with the race's fourth and final caution five laps later on lap 98 for Charli Brown spinning his NOS Energy Drink machine off turn two and coming to a rest at the bottom of the backstretch.

Under this caution, Coy eleceted to stay out while Justin Trombley and Charli Brown (who were the only other cars on the lead lap) hit pit road for fresh tires. Trombley won the race off pit road as Brown fell in line at the tail end of the lead lap cars for bringing out the caution.

The race's final restart came on lap 104 with a Green, White, Checkered finish. Richie Coy led the field to the green, with Charli Brown quickly diving to the inside of Justin Tombley's machine as the leaders raced to turn one on the restart.

Brown cleared Trombley's machine and set off after Coy. He made one "last ditch" effort for the lead as the field took the white flag and headed to turn one for the final lap.

Coy held off the challenge and would come to the checkered flags ahead of Charli Brown, Justin Trombley and Chris Rogers with Jeff Rogers rounding out the top five.

This week, the Whelen Modified Online Tour heads to the Music City Motorplex in Nashville, Tennessee for the Lee Brice 100 presented by Curb Records.

Steve Rohner, Jr. bounces back strong to win at Jennerstown! - By Charli Brown

Steve Rohner, Jr. rebounded from a hard wreck last week to win the Collegiate Stadiums.com 50 Tuesday night at the Jennerstown Speedway.

Jennerstown, PA - Steve Rohner, Jr. became the third driver to win a second race in the Sunoco SK Modified Series presented by NPGPro.com Tuesday night at the same track where he won his first event earlier in the year, the Jennerstown Speedway.

After totally destroying his Vodafone machine last week with a spectactular wreck at Thompson, he opened the evening by winning the Earthscapes.cc Pole Award with a lap time of 19.544 seconds at 96.152 mph and would lead the field to the green flag.

Outside pole sitter Doug Woolley would beat Rohner, Jr. to turn one with Bobby Ambroceo in tow dropping the pole sitter back to third in the race's early stages.

Bobby Ambroceo would look under Doug Woolley for the lead on lap 22 and wage a three lap, side by side battle with Ambroceo taking away the top spot and lead to the Mends Image Halfway Award on lap 25. This left Wolley hung out on the high lane, leaving an opening for Steve Roher, Jr., who snuck by to steal away second dropping Woolley back to third.

Steve Rohner, Jr. made his bid for the lead under Bobby Ambroceo as they raced down the front stretch to complete lap 30. Ambroceo quickly slammed the door on Doug Woolley who was looking underneath for the seond spot in turn two.

Just three laps later, Doug Woolley would have contact with Steve Rogers as the two raced to turn one battling for the third spot on lap 33. Woolley would spin up into the marbles and come to rest against the outside wall and drive away with no damage.

Steve Rohner, Jr. led the rest of the way while surviving two more late race cautions that took out several of the leaders while they were racing for positon.

Ed Bataglia dodged the wrecks and came home second followed by Phil Jacques, Jeremy Smith and Joe Szot.

This week, the Sunoco SK Modified Series presented by NPGPro.com returns to the Waterrford Speedbowl for the final event of the Spring Season.
